Start as a keen intermediate and progress to Canadian Association of Snowboard Instructors qualification as Snowboard Instructor Level 2. With this certificate good job opportunities become available.
The training is eligible for UK Armed Forces resettlement funding for service leavers.
During the 11 weeks of this course you will see dramatic improvement in your technical knowledge and ability on the slopes. We cover methods of detection and correction and help you to apply these to yourself as you learn the latest techniques.
You start with two weeks of snowboard skills training, including Injury Prevention, in preparation for the Level 1 Instructor course in your third week. You will develop good interpersonal skills and learn the specific CASI method for teaching the sport to beginners.
The programme continues with a further four weeks of coached riding, an intense training period taking you up to Level 2 Instructor standard, leading to your assessment in week eight.
The final three week period is devoted to your freestyle skills and an in-depth seminar programme, including the Recreational Avalanche course, Emergency First Aid, Tuning and Customer Service.
