This is the first step on your career path as a snow sports professional.
The course is also suitable if you simply want to improve your technical knowledge and ability on the slopes. We cover methods of detection and correction and help you to apply these to yourself as you learn the latest techniques.
You start with two weeks of ski training in preparation for the Level 1 instructor course in your third week. This is where you develop your interpersonal skills and learn the specific CSIA method for teaching beginners.
We provide multi-share, 2-star Budget accommodation with bunk rooms in Creekside, a dual-mountain lift pass which is valid six days a week, five days' guiding/instruction each week (four hours a day), video analysis, lift queue priority and equipment seminars.
You can also book more comfortable, 3-star Standard accommodation at Whistler, where you stay in a twin room in Creekside.

What next
This three-week course is a good foundation if you're looking for a personal challenge and an introduction to the world of professional snow sports. Some jobs are available at this level. If you are serious about working as an instructor you should consider our six and 11 week courses, which take you to Level 2 and beyond.
