The one week Intermediate Assessment Week is designed for qualified, experienced RYA Start Windsurfing instructors.
Eligible for UK Armed Forces resettlement funding for service leavers. Approved for Enhanced Learning Credits.
We cover course management, safety issues, advanced presentation skills, teaching techniques in planing and non-planing conditions, and video tuition. 50% of this course is spent on the water.
The week covers the syllabus of the RYA Windsurfing Intermediate Instructor course. The Intermediate Instructor certificate is awarded as Non-planing or Planing. Your result will depend on your ability to perform and to instruct planing techniques.
After training you will be equipped to teach improver and intermediate windsurfers in a variety of conditions.
The Intermediate Upgrade is based at Club Vass at Vassiliki, Lefkas, Greece. Vassiliki is one of Europe's top high-wind resorts for windsurfing.
Budget accommodation is at our own Fish House, simple tourist rooms in the village.

If you travel with Flying Fish, you fly on Sunday from London or Manchester to Preveza.
Evening briefing on the start date, Sunday. Training begins on Monday morning. The course finishes on Friday or Saturday and you depart on the morning of the end date, Sunday

Before you start
You are a qualified RYA windsurf instructor with at least 50 hours experience teaching beginners. Your personal windsurfing ability is at or above RYA Intermediate Planing level and you are able to demonstrate Intermediate Non-planing skills on demand
