Great value PADI Divemaster & Dive Instructor courses in Sydney

We've taken the main elements of our Australia dive instructor programmes, stirred them up, stripped them down and added a few extra ingredients.

Flying Fish dive courses in Sydney are run at the Pro Dive Academy.   Russell De Groot,  Academy Director, has become increasingly concerned that the common focus at some centres is on purely getting an instructor ticket.  He feels it's important to also gain essential qualifications and experience which will assist instructors going on to work in the industry. 

"The Pro Dive courses are built around promoting real world training and qualifications.  This is becoming increasingly relevant as government legislation changes and dive centres have to bring in new operating procedures.  For example, it is now law in Queensland that people filling dive tanks and operating compressors must have a recognised qualification saying they are competent to do so - this is soon to be the case in the rest of Australia. 

"Our Divemaster and Dive Instructor syllabus follows the essential PADI modules and also includes Air Fill, Compressor and Gas Blender courses and a Dive Operations course giving candidates recognised qualifications to work in dive centres around the world.

"Another change in legislation means that all instructor candidates must be Emergency First Response (EFR) level trained.  This becomes PADI standard by March 09 but  we have implemented it over six months early to help produce more experienced and better trained instructors."

Our new courses enable you to get your Divemaster ticket in just seven weeks.  Our Dive Instructor Basic Traineeship is now only 11 weeks and our Dive Instructor Pro Traineeship 15 weeks. 

New courses start in August 2008 contain the new modules mentioned in the above article.
