It was fun, fast and furious. Moments of elation, times of exhaustion, amazing team work throughout.
A total of 896 entries experienced some world-class racing this week - the 8,500 competitors ranged from Olympic and world class professionals to weekend sailors. Add to this the 100,000 spectators who came to watch the racing (and enjoy the parties) and you have one of the most exciting events on the sailing calendar.
Glorious sunshine, torrential rain, sudden squalls bringing 30 knots of breeze, 180 degree wind shifts - we had it all. And whatever the weather, every single morning "it's a beautiful day for racing" from top kite trimmer, Aslan Morhayim!
On HOT STUFF, some super slick work on the bow from the Richardson brothers, Max and Phil, facilitating sublime spinnaker launches, flawless float drops and 20 second gybes, even in 28 knots of breeze.

On FLYING FISH OF COWES, Some great trimming throughout the week from Andy Coatsworth and Belinda Martin - who is now sporting beautifully bulging biceps - coupled with some fancy fingerwork in the pit from Kevin Ludbrook and "a good work out" on the bow from Kevin Roberts and Jon Rutherford.

Congratulations to Team Fish on HOT STUFF who finished 12th overall in the 40.7 class, and to Team Fish on FLYING FISH ON COWES finishing 28th overall in IRC Class 3.
