Diving is fun, exciting and ultimately relaxing. This is a sport which always offers you something new to discover - think of it as sky-diving in slow motion. Imagine being weightless and able to move around in all three dimensions in a whole new world.
We recommend the PADI education system. PADI's entry-level Open Water course is designed to introduce you to the world of scuba diving. The programme teaches you the identification and use dive equipment, the effects of breathing compressed air, safety procedures, underwater communication, assisting others and many other skills. You start by learning theory ashore, progress to practising your skills in confined water and finally enjoy the pleasures of diving in open water.
As a beginner you can choose a Divemaster Traineeship in Australia or Egypt or go for Rescue Diver Fast-track in Egypt or Greece. Just want to dive on vacation? See our Mediterranean and Red Sea Divebuilder programmes. Once you are certified you can scuba dive anywhere in the world to a depth of 18 metres (60 feet).
Learning to dive gives you appreciation for a whole new environment. As a newly qualified diver you will find there is a great deal to learn from our oceans. The PADI system is modular, so you can further your skills and knowledge with a series of short courses anywhere in the world - or join Flying Fish for a comprehensive training programme leading to Divemaster or Dive Instructor.
