Sydney, Australia, is the southern hemisphere's capital of watersports. The city needs no introduction to surfers and sailors. Less well-known is the Flying Fish windsurf scene at Balmoral Beach in Middle Harbour. Beginners and intermediates make rapid progress here. It's also our ideal spot for newly qualified instructors to experience teaching practice. Yachting and dinghy sailing take place at nearby Middle Harbour Yacht Club; surfing at Manly Beach. Flying Fish season: October to May.

Dahab, Egypt, is a windsurfing Mecca! Dahab means gold in Arabic and this place is pure gold for windsurfers. Club Dahab is the Flying Fish favourite for variety. The lagoon has superb flat water for beginners and for practising new tricks. There are great stretches of flat open water for blasting, further out at Speedy, and some challenging 'bump-and-jump' style swell at Kamikaze. The windsurfing can be aggressive if you like but the lifestyle here is relaxed, with palm fringed oasis, crystal clear seas, and sun-baked sand. World-class diving in the Red Sea. Flying Fish season: year round.
