Learn to sail or become a pro in the spectaular setting of Sydney's Middle Harbour Yacht Club. Flying Fish is accredited by Yachting Australia and the Royal Yachting Association to offer all levels of practical and theory courses in yachting, dinghy sailing, powerboating and windsurfing.
We operate fast, comfortable yachts including Beneteau 40.7's which are ideal for learning to sail and a McIntyre 55 ocean racing yacht for extended offshore passages. Our dinghy fleet includes Laser Bahias for two or three adults and Laser Pico singlehander dinghies.

Yachting theory courses in our waterside classroom include five day intensive RYA Dayskipper Shorebased Theory, Yachtmaster Shorebased Theory and Yachtmaster Ocean Shorebased Theory. We also run evening classes for Yachmaster Shorebased Theory during the winter months.

Basic Safety: We run regular approved short courses for Safety and Sea Survival, First Aid, Radar Operator, Diesel Engine Maintenance, Powerboat Operator, Marine Radio Operator and STCW 95 Basic Safety Training. Many of these courses are mandatory requirements for professional yachtmasters and offshore racing sailors. They are strongly recommended for anyone planning to sail safely offshore.
