Yachts in two hemispheres

spinnakerukFlying Fish yachts operate from Hamble and Cowes in the UK, from Middle Harbour Yacht Club, Sydney, NSW,
and in the Bay of Islands, New Zealand. In the Australian winter
we sail north to the tropical Whitsunday Islands to operate from Shute Harbour, Airlie Beach, QLD.

In the UK our Dehler 34s are fast, responsive cruiser/racers and are a joy to sail. Whether you are learning to crew, developing your skills as a Yachtmaster
or enjoying the thrill of racing, these boats are the business.

In the UK and Australia our Beneteau 40.7s are very successful cruiser/racers. This design has won many prestigious races since it was introduced in 1999.  Big enough for comfort and speed offshore, the Beneteau 40.7 is ideal for our offshore passages between Sydney and tropical Queensland. For our ocean passages and the Sydney to Hobart race we use 'Bright Morning Star' a beautiful Peterson 51 classic cruiser racer with a fabulous history. Bright Morning Star is a comfortable, strong and fast yacht in full category one offshore survey. It offers our customers a comfortable, fast and safe way to experience one of the world's toughest yacht races.

New Zealand passage-making is one of the highlights of Professional Skipper Development in the summer months of December and February. We charter Beneteau yachts in the Bay of Islands, a glorious starting point for some dramatic milebuilding.

All the equipment you need (including wet weather clothing) is included for entry-level sailing courses. If you join a race event, or a course leading to a professional skipper's certificate, you should provide a few items of your own gear.
