Overview

The Dinghy Instructors course combines intensive skills, coaching on the water with theory, training to develop your knowledge and instructional skills. The course will teach you all that you need to know, to become a competent RYA Dinghy Instructor and will prepare you for work as a professional or club Dinghy Instructor.

The Dinghy Instructors course

Designed for sailors that have spent time on the water, enjoy a passion for the outdoors and want to become a Dinghy Instructor. A good Instructor will have a good grasp of the fundamentals of sailing. The first two weeks of our programme focuses on just that, the basics. We will teach or refresh the key elements of sailing, seamanship, spinnakers and theory and before you know it you will be flying a spinnaker, surfing downwind.

The course covers all the RYA sailing modules from RYA Day sailing to the Performance sailing module so if you are new to sailing or have been sailing for a while and would like to refresh then this course is for you
