8 Weeks
Vassiliki, Greece

Our PADI Divemaster course is the best route from beginner to dive professional. This programme covers all the essential skills needed to qualify as a Divemaster and kick start your career as a PADI professional Divemaster. If you dream of doing a job you really love, this course can turn your dreams into reality.

What can I do as a Divemaster?

You will not only become a better diver but once qualified you will be able to assist the Dive Instructor with students on and under the water. You will be able to take certified divers on guided dives. Divemasters can also teach and certify skin divers and teach PADI snorkeling programmes. You will have the knowledge to work in-store advising customers on courses, equipment and becoming a PADI Divemaster. You will be able to work at any PADI dive centre around the world or just enjoy being a qualified diver, allowing you to dive and explore this blue planet.

If working or looking for work on a Superyacht, then having your PADI Divemaster is a useful certificate to have when looking for a job as a Deckhand.

What do I do on the course?

All our Divemaster courses are run in Vassiliki, Greece by our partner, Nautilus diving club. With warm clear water and plenty of sunshine learning to dive is easy. Training is 6 days a week over an 8-week course. Essentially, you will find yourself diving most days building experience and knowledge of your sport.  You will learn about the dive environment, map an open water dive site, how to give safety briefings, assist with local dive courses, service equipment, learn group management, safety and how to run a dive school.

You will complete 60 dives during the 8-week course.

Is the Divemaster course difficult?

The Divemaster course has you diving, both day and at night, understanding the theory and preparing equipment 6-days a week so there is an element of hard work to the course. There are a few dive exams to sit and there are two swim tests to complete, a 400m and 800m swim to assess your ability in the water. Remember, you are not at school and all training towards the PADI Divemaster course is done in the sunshine with a group of people who are passionate about diving – so it is never really hard work!

What if I have experience?

If you are already a qualified PADI Open Water then you can join the programme a week later or fly out on the start date and complete some extra dives which is recommended if you have not dived for a while. If you hold further qualifications then please contact us so we can advise what options are best for you.

Our accommodation is famously known as the Fish House and is in Vassiliki town, close to the bars, restaurants and supermarkets. The Fish House is in the heart of the action and only a 5-minute walk from the Nautilus training centre.
