Australia is simply the greatest Pacific island of them all. Australians are mad for sport and the climate means Sydney has good sailing, surfing and diving all year round. Further north in tropical Queensland the winter months of June to September are best - the weather is warm and skies are blue.
Flying Fish is based in Sydney, the undisputed capital of the Australian sailing world. While living ashore course members stay at Manly, with direct access to one of Sydney's most famous surf beaches. The Australian passion for watersports has made this great city on the water the best destination we know for training during the northern hemisphere winter.
Airlie Beach and the Whitsunday Islands are host to Flying Fish courses in Queensland. The Whitsunday group nestles in the protected waters of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park. The Barrier Reef needs no introduction to divers, of course. For sailors, the coral cays are the setting for intricate boat handling and navigation exercises.
