How to Join Flying Fish

The Flying Fish experience is enjoyed by over 600 people a year on professional courses - plus hundreds more who learn a new sport or join an improvement course. They come from all round the world. Everyone is over 18 but there is no upper limit. Many candidates are in their thirties and forties, a few in their fifties and sixties.

  1. Select your course or event and follow the prompts to hold a place for 48 hours. You can do this without a deposit.
  2. Use the same screen to make a full application or book online. You can make a payment at this stage to confirm your place.
  3. Contact the training administrators at Flying Fish for advice at any time.

What happens next?

  1. We will let you know straight away whether your place is available.
  2. We will send you more information on the programme you have chosen, with full details of travel arrangements, provisional timetable and, for professional courses, the Flying Fish Course Handbook.
Download the Flying Fish Course Handbook now >>
  3. We will ask you to pay a non-refundable deposit to hold your place. If you are booking from Australia the deposit is in Australian dollars (AUD). If you are booking from outside Australia the deposit is in British pounds (GBP). For courses and events costing up to GBP 400 or AUD 800 we ask you to pay in full.
  4. Candidates joining professional-level courses who are entitled to work in Europe may be asked to attend job interviews in the UK before starting training.
  5. If you are not entitled to work in Europe we will advise you on employment options in Australia, USA, the Caribbean and elsewhere.
  6. You should arrange your own visa if required. Almost everyone needs a visa to visit Australia or Egypt. Candidates from some countries will need a visa for Canada, Greece or the UK.
    More about visas >>
  7. You should make your own travel arrangements to arrive at a course or event in the UK.
  8. We will handle your travel arrangements for journeys originating in the UK, and for any flights during your course, unless you prefer to do this yourself.
  9. If you are non-UK resident and joining a course or event outside the UK you can make your own travel arrangements direct or fly into London to join the Flying Fish flight from London Heathrow or Gatwick.
  10. The full fees are due sixty days before you start with Flying Fish. When your fees are paid you receive joining instructions, travel documents and training logbooks.

Enjoy professional training and international adventure. While you learn, let our online recruitment service help you find you a job on the sea or the slopes.
