With a truly enviable position in the middle of Manly Beach, the North Steyne Surf Life Saving Club (NSSLSC) is the place for any ambitious surfer. This club was was one of the first of its kind in Australia - only Bondi is older. Its members are highly respected surfers, rowers and ironmen.
The Flying Fish surf programme is run from the NSSLSC, with surf lessons in front of the club every day. Club members are always on hand to offer advice on the best places to surf and where to buy the best boards. Of course, no true Aussie surf club would be complete without some apres-surf downtime – and club members put their beachfront deck to great use, with regular sunset barbecues.
