Wildwind, Vassiliki

Flying Fish dinghy sailing and race training take place at Wildwind on a fleet of catamarans and high performance sailing dinghies.

Windsurfingis based next door at Club Vassiliki better know as Club Vass, the largest and best-equipped windsurfing centre in Europe.

An unusual local weather effect has made Vassiliki a hot destination for sailors. The conditions are usually calm till around 10am: perfect wake-boarding. Then the sea breeze begins to fill in, producing a gentle Force 2-3 onshore: ideal for beginner and intermediate dinghy sailors. In the afternoon it usually accelerates across the bay, producing excellent cross-shore conditions from Force 4 up to very, very windy!

The enclosed bay
means the water stays flat, providing the perfect training environment. If ever the wind doesn't blow, the mountainous terrain provides incredible biking and under water there is some spectacular diving. Greece is relaxing its rules restricting dive sites and you can hope to take part in some exciting discoveries here.
