Point Cottages are situated on the bank of the River Medina at the head of the estuary to Cowes Harbour and its international yachting marinas. The accommodation consists of three self contained, 3-star cottages enjoying extensive views over the harbour and the Solent.
Point House was once a longshoreman's house. Later it became part of Samual J White's shipyard and it was the first house in Cowes to have electricity installed. The Home Guard commander lived here during the second world war and after the war it was used as the Admiralty Overseer's office. Falling into disrepair during the 1960's, it was totally restored in 1993 to become holiday accommodation.
So popular did it prove that Mid Point was renovated the following year and Point Quay the year after that. The building containing them had previously been used as a riverside store and sail loft. Now the cottages are all very popular with visitors for their superb views over the river. Many guests return year after year.
