Flying Fish is based in Sydney Harbour, the capital of the Australian sailing world.
The sub-tropical climate of New South Wales means good sailing and surfing here all year round.
While living ashore course members stay in Manly, a short walk from one of the city's best surf beaches.
A passion for sport
The Australian passion for sport has made this great city on the water the best destination we know for training during the northern hemisphere winter.
Sail Academy at Middle Harbour Yacht Club
The Flying Fish Sail Academy is on one of Sydney's pristine beaches at Middle Harbour Yacht Club (MHYC).
The Club and our Academy are in a truly spectacular location. Although only 30 minutes away from the centre of Sydney, the beachfront location and laid back atmosphere are in another world.
MHYC is home to many competitive race yachts, including several for the exciting Sydney 38 one-design fleet.
The Club has an action packed calendar, including a week-end spinnaker race series, summer twilight racing and an offshore race series.
Flying Fish yachts
The Flying Fish Beneteau 40.7 yachts have berths on the marina here, and our Magno and Pico sailing dinghies have easy access to the beach for launching.
We also have a training room at the Club for theory sessions and race briefings.
Full time yachting and dinghy sailing students at Flying Fish enjoy excellent club facilities here, with every opportunity to meet to yacht owners who are looking for race crew.
Many Flying Fish trainees become valued crew members on race yachts.
