Instructor Development is a two-week post-qualification course in Greece, designed for graduates of a Watersports Instructor course or Fast-track with Flying Fish. The programme combines teaching practice with personal skills training and the option to gain extra certificates. Our aim is to help you to achieve your best as a Windsurfing or Dinghy sailing Instructor
The first strand is instructor work experience and supervised teaching practice. Now we give you the opportunity to plan and deliver complete training sessions. We will place you in an RYA training centre where you will practise what you have learnt. An expert is on hand for advice and assistance throughout. You will get to experience all aspects of a busy water sports centre from rigging kit, teaching, coaching, rescue cover and at the same time improve your personal skills
You will undertake further training in rescue boat techniques to build your confidence in this vital part of the instructor’s job. At the end of your course, you would have gained some valuable work experience on your CV and the confidence to walk into a real paid job.
A big part of being an Instructor is customer service and there is no better way of understanding what good customer service is about than working for a Watersports club to see how the experts do it.
Pay a supplement for a PADI Open Water or Advanced Open Water Diver course, turning the two-week Instructor Development into a three-week skills programme
