This one-day First Aid Course is designed to provide a working knowledge of first aid, looking at it from a boating perspective. If you are an RYA Instructor, Yachtmaster or anybody using small craft, then this course will teach you the basics of first aid.
When you are at sea, training on the water or in a powerboat, giving first aid can be slightly more complicated than when on land so this RYA course focuses on the challenges faced by a first aider at sea.
This course is a requirement for anybody completing an RYA Windsurfing or Dinghy Instructors Course. As an RYA Instructor, you are required to update your skills and knowledge every three years.
If you are looking to take your Yachtmaster Coastal/Offshore Certificate of Competence or Senior First Aid for any ISAF offshore race, which subject to special regulations on first aid training, then this one day course meets the requirements.
