The aim of this one-day course is to give everyone who intends to go to sea a basic induction into accident prevention and health and safety issues onboard a ship.
We familiarise you with normal employment conditions in the onboard working environment. This classroom-based day also forms part of the mandatory safety training for Superyacht crew.

Pre-requisite experience and qualifications
No experience is needed.
During the classroom-based day of training, you will cover these topics:
- Induction into accident prevention.
- Health and safety issues onboard a ship.
- Familiarisation with normal employment conditions in the onboard working environment.
You should combine this course with STCW Personal Survival Training, Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting, Proficiency in Security Awareness and Elementary First Aid – or search again for STCW Basic Safety Training which covers all these subjects in a six-day course.
