Yachtmaster

Flying Fish provides professional Yachtmaster courses for beginners all the way to RYA Yachtmaster Ocean. We have delivered courses for over 22 years, helping our students gain qualifications to find dream work opportunities.

The purpose of a Yachtmaster course is to give you experience, knowledge and logged sea miles to complete your RYA Yachtmaster exam. Completing the exam will give you a Certificate of Competence, which means you are able to skipper a vessel up to 24m in length. 

Our courses pack in everything you need to be totally confident in completing your Yachtmaster exam. However, one thing we don’t forget is you should be having the best time and fun whilst on your course. If you come all the way to Australia, we’ll make sure you see plenty of the sights, have time to explore and enjoy all that Sydney has to offer.

We are known for our base in Sydney, Australia, where we have been operating since 1995. Our home at Middle Harbour Yacht Club is a superb place to sail, race and enjoy the Aussie hospitality. You learn to sail in Sydney Harbour and explore the stunning coast of New South Wales. Our Ocean passages extend as far as Lord Howe Island and Tasmania.

We run our Yachtmaster Power Course from our UK base in Cowes. This course is ideally suited for superyacht crew who want to take the next step in their career.
