Our Superyacht Stewardess training course gives you the essential skills needed to enter the Superyacht industry as a Steward or Stewardess. A great option if you are new to the industry and want to learn your role on-board.
A job as a Steward or Stewardess on a Superyacht is like no other; one which requires a unique set of skills. Working on yachts is amazing, you get to spend your working day in the sunshine on-board an incredible yacht in some of the nicest places on earth – there are not may day jobs like this! The pay is not bad either, the average salary for a new Stewardess ranges from €1,800 to €3,000 per month, depending on the size and type of yacht. Furthermore, this income can be tax-free. Then there are the tips! Working on a superyacht can be hard work, long hours and you will be away from home for long periods but very rewarding and for many the start of a fantastic career!
To get a better idea of the Superyacht industry then we recently caught up with Charlotte Fox, who completed our Superyacht Stewardess course in March 2017. After nearly a year in the industry, Charlotte can give an insight to life on a Superyacht
If life on the ocean is something you are interested in then this two week course includes all the qualifications and skills you need to start a new career as a Steward/ess.
The course starts out with STCW Basic Safety Training, mandatary for anybody working on large yachts. The Basic Safety training, although having a serious side, is also great fun and you will learn a lot about your responsibilities as professional crew.
Next is our Stewardess training course where you will learn all you need to know to start a career as a Steward or Stewardess. Your instructor will show you everything, from how to make a bed to producing that perfect coffee, arranging flowers and that important 5* service that guests and owners will expect from their crew. You will host a cocktail party serving drinks and canapés to our VIP guests. Captains and owners expect strong hospitality skills; having completed this programme you will have a thorough grounding in all areas needed to perform effectively on-board.
Powerboat training and how to use a VHF radio are included in the course giving an understanding of how to drive a fast powerboat safely.
New for 2018
We now include the Personal Watercraft (Jet Ski) within our two-week Superyacht Stewardess Course. If your first job is on a smaller yacht then having a PWC qualification will allow you to drive the Jet Skis on-board.
